I just got home to these small, dark creatures in my shrimp tank. When I reached the conclusion that they are water mites (same creqtures as in the attached picture). Are these harmful to my shrimp? I read online that shrimp might be able to eat them, but I am worried for the shrimplets. Do I need to worry, or are they harmless?

I have no clue, so I cannot offer advice. It’s crazy though… How did they get into the aquarium?
