Can never really know. I’ve heard of “super chill” bettas being fine in a community tank for months and then just going on a rampage seemingly out of nowhere.
He needs 3 days to get comfy. In that time, chasing is pretty normal while everyone gets to know each other. If there’s lots of nipping stop it, but otherwise they should be good to go!

He seems to just want to hide and not do too much.
