It’ll need a sponge covering it still, or mesh, those babies come out impossibly small. I’m pretty sure I just don’t see mine for a week or two after they hatch because they’re so small.

You will never find a filter intake that will keep shrimp out unless you cover it with a prefilter sponge or something.
I spent like $1 on sponges and just covered mine. Found a baby hanging out on it today in fact haha.
