You can either remove by hand or just increase the water movement, they only survive in nearly still water.
Put fish, they love it.
Free food if you pop your fish in there
Before I joined this sub I honestly thought every human being on earth knew what these were. It still amazes me that so many people don’t know, it feels like asking what a duck is. Maybe I’m over estimating how many people try to empty out standing water to get rid of these guys.
Fish food, no need to remove them
Mosquito larvae, kill it
Mosquito larvae
Just add some wild guppies, they’ll love that larvae, you just need them there for a few minutes haha
Ps: don’t let that larvae there!
Uh oh, my love. You better put a couple ditch minnows, aka, “mosquito fish” in there, cause that’s mosquito larvae. Also aka “feeder guppies.”
They’ll also be an excellent way to inexpensively cycle/help to season your tank! 😊

Mosquito larvae: Live food for fish.
Your aquarium has become a breeding ground for mosquito. Add fish or cover it fully.

I live in Memphis, TN and that’s what we call Jurassic Park mosquito larvae. Our mosquitos are so big they could eat a small rodent.
It’s frickin confused is what it is.
Mesquito larve
Mosquito larvae
Looks like a mosquito larvae (or some other similar gnat) and something fish would normally eat. To avoid these, or avoid attracting mosquitoes, have more surface irritation.
But free food is free food
I’d let him stay until you add fish then it’s time for him to hit the road/toilet.
Remove to be safe
Not a typical detritus worm or planaria you see in tanks
No idea what it is
