  10. You can either remove by hand or just increase the water movement, they only survive in nearly still water.

  13. Before I joined this sub I honestly thought every human being on earth knew what these were. It still amazes me that so many people don’t know, it feels like asking what a duck is. Maybe I’m over estimating how many people try to empty out standing water to get rid of these guys.

  18. Uh oh, my love. You better put a couple ditch minnows, aka, “mosquito fish” in there, cause that’s mosquito larvae. Also aka “feeder guppies.”
    They’ll also be an excellent way to inexpensively cycle/help to season your tank! 😊

  24. I live in Memphis, TN and that’s what we call Jurassic Park mosquito larvae. Our mosquitos are so big they could eat a small rodent.

  28. Looks like a mosquito larvae (or some other similar gnat) and something fish would normally eat. To avoid these, or avoid attracting mosquitoes, have more surface irritation.

    But free food is free food

  29. I’d let him stay until you add fish then it’s time for him to hit the road/toilet.
