For background I would be making this into a planted tank without any of the rocks or decor. This is just the tank listing. Debating buying it for cheap or just getting a new tank!
I’ve had shrimp in tanks before but never a shrimp exclusive tank which is what I’m wanting to build!
Like others have said, either cover the intake with some filter media sponge, or do what I did with my Fluval flex tanks and just rip out the built in filter compartment set up and just use a sponge filter

It looks good but you will have to cover the intake with something.
But in not sure what mabe a sponge behind it ?

You can order a part to cover the filter intake. I got one off Etsy.
