When a feminine shrimp has reached sexual maturity and is able to mate, her eggs will develop in her ovaries that are positioned behind her head. That is the place you’ll discover a purple, yellow or inexperienced patch. This patch known as a saddle, and it holds all of the unfertilized eggs. When the saddle grows in direction of the downward curve of her tail, she’ll be able to have them fertilized by a male.
