I have this under a cap of sand. Plants grow really good. I haven’t had any issues at all. I have Neocaridina shrimp and fish in my tank.
Ehh, I wouldn’t use in lieu of an aquasoil like ADA or Stratum. Eco-complete has some minor buffering properties, but it’s not really considered “active” and it doesn’t have enough nutrients for plants.
Maybe but i tried this once and got a massive ammonia spike and the entire tank had to be restarted
