I have had to use one. I added water from the top of the tank to help prevent anything from going in and treated it like a 25% water change. I used a air stone I had laying around. It really depends on how long the wait is until you treat your main tank. The key is drip acclimation, so not to throw off your shrimps balance. Either way, it is risky, but do your research and come up with what works best for you. Sometimes, buying another tank is out of the question.

Can you set up a quarantine tank in rhe mean time?

in the pics it is not clear…do you see round ball between the pleopods ?
