Fun, this is the exact same concept I’m building towards now except I’m not sure I’m still getting dwarf shrimp. I’m really enjoying the Ramshorn snails I have and they compete for the same overall food niche in the tank. If I try to specifically just “feed” shrimp or snails, both will probably eat the food. I’ve still got a few weeks to think about it but I want to add shrimp BEFORE the Betta just in case the Betta is shrimp aggressive: so they are established first and have a chance of survival.
