The #1 thing I recommend is taking filter media from your other tank and put into this new filter for an “instant cycle”. Shrimp are sensitive and will most likely not survive in a new un-cycled tank.
Get rid of the fake plants and put real plants in. My girls love sitting on my plants (my amanos are all girls.) Lots of plants, maybe some floaters for them to cling to. I also put a small abs pipe joint in there they love hiding in.
I only have experience with Amano shrimp though. My girls are with my tetras and endlers. They don’t bother them.
