Their eyes are in fact light sensors, as eyes usually are. I‘ll go out on a limp and would compare them to humans in that what is safe for your eyes should be fine for them. Will it stress them? Probably. But so is living in their natural ecosystem where most things larger than shrimp like to eat them. If you don‘t do an hour long photo session, I‘d expect them to be just fine. Good luck!
