How do I do away with loopy algae infestation in my shrimp tank?

  1. Plant it with fast growing plants and reduce light intensity or light hours..
    Reason: algae usually grows because of high lights or due to excessive nutrients in water.. so planting it heavily will help .. put floating plants in case you don’t want to add more plants in decoration.. you can even add fast growing plants as floating plant. Like water sprite,hydrilla,guppy grass

  2. That’s hair algae so you can add some amano shrimp and they’ll help clear it up.

    Add more live or floating plants to help absorb light/nutrients so the algae cannot thrive.

    You also try to shorten your light cycle by a few hours (8-10 hours a day).
