Finally, as a treat I put in shrimp-safe cinnamon bark. They like to hide in them, eat off them, and biofilm grows as the bark breaks down. But don’t put in too many at once because they lower the ph
Biggest things I have learned—always drip acclimate for at least an hour. Also, test the water regularly. I had a massive nitrate spike after adding a single root tab (never again) and lost a shit ton of shrimp. Now I test weekly, at least.
