Hmm the only thing that comes to mind is [horsehair worms](https://www.myaquariumclub.com/possible-treatments-for-horsehair-worm-in-ghost-shrimp-22050.html)
But I have only ever seen them cause issues with ghost shrimp.
The other possibly is it is a detritus worm (or something along those lines) that was eating the shrimp postmortem?
