  1. Blues like this share their genetic line with some reds, the reds are almost like their “grandparents” in a way, so natural genetic mutation may cause some of them to show up partially red. This is the shrimp equivalent of having pop-pop’s eyes.

  2. The shrimp is probably just a variant, but make sure you’re using a drop checker to ensure your co2 levels are not high. I only mention this because you said you just started using co2

  3. Spiderman 2099

  4. I just came to say that you have a very nice tank. I love the scape.

  5. if it’s been like that since it was born or slightly after they get more mature, there’s nothing wrong.

if it’s quickly and recently developed and the color is pinkish it might indicate barcterial infection

  6. First one looks great.

  7. I have what basically amounts to a ‘spider man’ looking shrimp coming from my blues.

going to try and remove the red/blue ones and see if it’s a stable color mutation or not.

I also have a few blues that have given out dark red offspring.

  8. Genetic drift

  9. Dream blue or blue jelly are are mutations of red rili’s and thus the same specie as red cherry shrimp (*Neocaridina davidi*).

  10. I really love your tank, it’s gorgeous

  11. could be a bacterial infection if its a recent change in colour

  12. I got a shrimp like that too

  13. That tanks gorgeous, how many gallons is it? And what are the grass like plants the shrimp are chillin on?

  14. Not a shrimp expert at all. I just got my first shrimp…fire reds, but I have some blue dreams ordered, so I’ll be on the lookout for this. But yeah like someone else said it looks like a genetic morph
