It’s a harmless fungus to you and your fish.. happens to most new pieces of wood in an aquarium, it’ll go away with time. I got 1 piece of wood doing that now in my new set up
It’s a harmless biofilm that is produced by bacteria, mold, and fungus eating the carbs within the wood. It goes away on its own after a few days to weeks. It’s actually an amazing meal for the shrimp so don’t take it out.
