  1. That’s for a wabi-kusa style terrarium, not an aquarium. I know it says aquarium but that’s the Japanese website and they use different words for the type of tanks. I think Aquarium and terrarium are swaped🤔

  2. “No filter” and “nano” are both concepts that aren’t easy to do. You could check out /r/walstad, but I’m not sure there’s a solution for the sort of thing you’re looking for. Maybe you could do something with plants and snails, but regular freshwater shrimp are probably off the table if those “tanks” you linked are the sort of thing you want… they’re just too sensitive for an environment without a mechanical filter, especially one with a very low volume of water.

    Another option though would be to look into opae ula shrimp. They need brackish water, but otherwise thrive on neglect. Your “plant” options are limited to macroalgae, but otherwise they fit with the sort of thing you described. /r/opaeula
