You don’t have to feed the shrimps if there is algae. If they’re eating and grazing then all is good.

Am I fucked up and tired or is this tank trapezoidal?How long was the tank set up before adding shrimp?
People recommend sponge filters for shrimp.
Put something over the inlet, but make sure it’s porous, should be fine.
Algae is scrimpo food.
