  1. I would say midground and short plants would be nice since there is carpet on the whole tank. I suggest s repens all around the stones.

  2. I always love the look of Pogostemon Helferi and Staurogyne Repens mixed in and around the rocks of Iwagumi setups

  3. how long did you grow all this out? or did you just buy a ton of pots?

  4. Gorgeous!!
Some eleocharis could work in the back. Although to be honest, if you would prefer to keep the tank layout as is, you probably won’t need to give the shrimp more plant cover. They’re not skittish if predatory/aggressive fish aren’t present.

  5. Great looking tank and a beautiful cabinet!
I think a bonsai-style tree covered in moss at one end with a similar slope to the rocks, would work well.

But it would end your scape being an Iwagumi style.

  6. Eleocharis Montevidensis along the back or filter side?

It used to be a popular style, I really like it.

For what it’s worth, if you have no fish or only really small fish/non predatory fish (like borneo loaches), the shrimp will not really need hiding spaces. In conditions like these, my shrimp swim about freely all over the tank.

Also – I have a moss tree. Well, first it was java moss, then fissidens fontanus, now it’s buce + fissidens. I wish I had never gone with the mosses- little bits are in every corner of the tank, and all my rocks and hardscape are growing it. It sounds cool, but I wanted to be able to see some of my hardscape… so I am now in the process of painstakingly removing every bit I see. Oh, and it’s also invaded my MC carpet. So- I prefer using buce with small leaves for any bonsai-type tree now, however slow it may grow.

  7. I’m a constant fan of aponogeton

  8. Nice. I think some Blyxa Japonica would work well.

  9. Horn wart or something like that

  10. I’m a sucker for a nice big anubias plant. I love the width of coverage they provide! I feel like some floating plants are a must too. Amazing scape.

  11. What type of filtration? Are you dosing c02 by hand, or have high tech?

  12. Glorious!!!

  13. Anubias for some darker contrast

  14. What light do you have on there?

  15. Cryptocoryne balansae! Put them in a corner near your outflow so they wave in the flow and create a shimmering effect.
